Castle Rock, Kansas. Yes, that’s correct – a rock called ‘castle’ in Kansas. South of Quinter by 10 miles, are hills of chalk that have weathered, leaving a large area of God-sculpted formations. The location is secluded, peaceful, and serene, with nothing but the gentle breeze against your face and an occasional melody from birds in song.
On our way to Kansas for a vacation with family, we stayed overnight in Quinter specifically to visit Castle Rock. Though the morning was overcast and didn’t make for the best photos, it was certainly worth the excursion.
